สถาบัน VanArt (Vancouver Institute of Media Arts) ได้รับการก่อตั้งเมื่อปี 1995 โดยนักออกแบบแอนิเมชั่น และ ผู้กำกับชื่อดัง Lee Mishkin ซึ่งได้รับรางวัล Academy Award โดยเล็งเห็นความต้องการบุคคลากรสาย Media Arts ที่เพิ่มขึ้นอย่างมากในปัจจุบัน จึงเป็นโอกาสที่ดีของนักเรียนที่มีความสามารถในสายนี้ที่สร้างอาชีพได้เป็นอย่างดี

โปรแกรม 2D/ 3D Character Animation
โปรแกรแอนิเมชั่นสอนโดยอาจารย์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญ มีประสบการณ์การทำงานบริษัทชั้นนำเช่น Disney, Dreamworks and Industrial Light & Magic
- เรียนรู้การออกแบบแอนิเมชั่นผ่าน Body Mechanics และ Performance
- สามารถเลือกเรียน 2D (Traditional or Digital) Stream, OR 3D Stream

โปรแกรมเกมส์อาร์ทเป็นการผสมผสานระหว่าง Traditional Art และ Digital art ในโปรแกรมนี้จะสอนการออกแบบสำหรับภาพยนตร์, เกมส์, และ ทีวี

สถาบันแวนอาร์ทมีจัดตั้งศูนย์สำหรับนักแสดงเรียกว่า The William Davis Centre for Actors' Study at VanArts ซึ่งมีทีมคณาจารย์ที่มีประสบการณ์การทำงานกับนักแสดง และ เข้าใจในด้าน Film & TV อย่างแท้จริง
- โปรแกรมนี้จะสอนพื้นฐานของการแสดง Foundation of Acting, Process of Acting, Acting Techniques, Intermediate and Advanced Assemble Projects, และ Advance Professional Actor Training

- Broadcasting for TV : an intensive series of classes where students are introduced to the world of on-camera performance for television and video. Students will learn how to write for television, how to craft stories using both the visual and the spoken word, how to write for and read from a teleprompter, interviewing techniques, reporting, basic camera and editing skills, and show hosting.
