About the ​Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) and Building Information Modelling (BIM) Technician Diploma

This program develops students’ skills in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) skills. Students learn to analyze and apply the current practices of a 3D Integrated Design Process (IDP) and contribute to the design/build team utilizing Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) methods.

Students may choose one of the following combinations of disciplines for the Diploma program:

1. Architectural and Civil/Structural
   
2. Steel Detailing and Architectural
   
3. Steel Detailing and Civil/Structural

​Admission Requirements:

Grade 12 graduation

English proficiency requirement:

• English 12 with a C or higher, or
  
• IELTS 6.5 (With no band less than 6.0), or
  
• TOEFL 80 (Listening 20, Speaking 20, Reading 20, Writing 20), or
  
• Canadian Language Benchmark Placement Test: Listening 8, Speaking 7, Reading 8, Writing 7

Math 11 with a C or higher (Trigonometry and Algebra recommended)
